Resolution
i
Display resolution
×
The resolution of a display refers to the number of pixels that are present on the screen. A pixel exists out of three dots and sometimes 4 dots (Red, Green, Blue and sometimes White) on the screen, and the resolution of a display is given in a horizontal by vertical amount of pixels.

Power consumption backlight system (W)
i
Power consumption backlight system (W)
×
The power consumption of a backlight system on a display refers to the amount of electrical power required to operate the backlight and keep the display illuminated. The power consumption of a backlight system can also be affected by the settings and usage of the display. For example, increasing the brightness of the display will increase the power consumption of the backlight system, while decreasing the brightness will decrease the power consumption.
Contrast ratio (: 1)
i
Contrast ratio (:1)
×
Display contrast ratio measures the difference in brightness between the darkest black and brightest white on a display, impacting image quality and visual performance. Higher ratios result in deeper blacks. OLED displays offer perfect blacks with self-lit pixels that switch off completely, providing infinite contrast ratios. IPS displays typically have a contrast ratio around 1,000:1 or slightly higher, while VA displays offer higher ratios of 3,000:1 to 4,000:1 at the high end.
Backlight
i
Backlight
×
A backlight is a light source used in a display to illuminate the pixels. It is typically located behind the display panel and shines through the pixels to make the image visible. A backlight is important for image quality, as it helps to ensure that the display is bright and visible even in low-light conditions. LED (Light Emitting Diode) is the most common used technology and the most energy-efficient technology used in backlights.
