Regulatory compliance

Texim Europe fully supports the principles behind the US regulation* and any potential future EU or UN regulations on the sourcing of certain Minerals from Conflict Regions**. In order to help establish traceability of Conflict Minerals*** Texim Europe strives to be fully transparent on any information obtained regarding the origin of these Minerals contained in its products and will encourage all its stakeholders to act in the same way.

Conflict Minerals Statement

In order to still contribute to the maximum of its possibilities Texim Europe has chosen a pragmatic approach as suggested by the EICC (Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition, eicc.info), largely following its guidelines.

Texim Europe will update the Texim Europe Conflict Minerals Statement and the EICC Conflict Minerals Reporting Template regularly. Most recent versions are available on the website.
Texim Europe aims to obtain the declarations from those suppliers who are estimated to represent a large proportion of the potential conflict mineral contents in its goods, by:

1. Determining which products may contain conflict minerals in the highest proportion.
2. Determining which suppliers are delivering the highest volume in those product areas.
3. Getting statements from these selected suppliers.

Updates will happen at least on a yearly basis or whenever information becomes pro-actively available from our suppliers. By following this procedure Texim Europe believes that in this way it maximizes its contribution to the principles of the regulation in the shortest possible timeframe and encourages all its stakeholders to act in the same manner.

** “Conflict Minerals” include Columbite-Tantalite (Tantalum), Cassiterite (Tin), Gold, Wolframite (Tungsten) and any derivatives from these minerals.
*** “Conflict Region” includes the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola, Burundi, the Central African Republic, The Republic of Congo, Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Zambia.
