MiTAC’s MioWORK F840 is an 8-inch fleet tablet with Android 13.0 and a Qualcomm 8-core CPU with on-device AI intelligence. Compared to the F740 it delivers 18% more screen area without increasing height, easing upgrades. The video cradle supports 5 cameras for full 360° vehicle coverage.
With an anti-glare coating, 600 nits brightness, and optical bonding, the display stays readable at any angle in all lighting conditions. IP54 water and dust resistance, glove and rain touch support and a wide operating temperature range complete the package for in-vehicle and outdoor use.
Power management has been redesigned to maximize battery performance. The new Smart Power Mode lets the F840 Series run directly on vehicle power when docked, minimizing battery usage and reducing ageing. It features a 4.000mAh Li-Po replaceable battery, secured with tamperproof screws, delivering a 8 hours battery life, based on typical usage conditions. Intelligent monitoring provides battery diagnostics on the device and via the cloud.
The multi channel cradle connects up to five cameras simultaneously, enabling full 360° coverage. Recording continues even when the device is undocked, while an enterprise IoT grade Qualcomm processor with on device AI powers advanced applications. A suite of APIs ensures smooth integration with existing systems and cloud platforms. The setup is completed with an 8MP rear camera and built-in mic x2 with noise cancelling.
The F840 supports all key telematics interfaces: 4G LTE, WiFi, NFC, BLE 5.1, GPS, NFC/HF RFID for seamless communication, tracking, and system integration.
